What is the difference between a Apostle,Prophet, and Disciple

I was asked a very good question today and I should have given a better answer.  What is the difference between a Disciple, Apostle, and a Prophet

A disciple is a follower, one who accepts and assists in spreading the doctrines of another. A Christian disciple is a person who accepts and assists in the spreading of the good news of Jesus Christ. Christian discipleship is the process by which disciples grow in the Lord Jesus Christ and are equipped by the Holy Spirit, who resides in our hearts, to overcome the pressures and trials of this present life and become more and more Christlike. This process requires believers to respond to the Holy Spirit’s prompting to examine their thoughts, words and actions and compare them with the Word of God. This requires that we be in the Word daily—studying it, praying over it, and obeying it. In addition, we should always be ready to give testimony of the reason for the hope that is within us and to disciple others to walk in His way.

During the first century of the church, there was an office of apostle and there was a spiritual gift of apostle. The office or position of apostle was held by the 12 disciples of Jesus plus Matthias, who took Judas’ place, and Paul. Those who held the office or position of apostle were chosen specifically by Christ. The replacement for Judas is seen in Acts. Note in this passage that Judas’ position was called an office. It should also be noted that Paul was chosen by Christ. These men were given the task of setting up the foundation of the church. It should be understood that it was for the universal church that these men were a part of the foundation. The foundation of the church (universal church) was laid in the first century. This is why the office of apostle is no longer functioning.

There was also a spiritual gift of apostle (this is not to be confused with the office—they are separate). Among those who had the spiritual gift were James, Barnabas, Andronicus and Junias, possibly Silas and Timothy, and Apollos. This latter group had the gift of apostleship but not the apostolic “office” conferred upon the Twelve and Paul. Those who had the gift of apostle, then, were those who carried the gospel message with God’s authority. The word “apostle” means “one sent as an authoritative delegate.” This was true of those who held the office of Apostle (like Paul) and those who had the spiritual gift (like Apollos). Though there are men like this today, men who are sent by God to spread the gospel, it is best NOT to refer to them as apostles because of the confusion this causes since many are not aware of the two different uses of the term apostle.

The gift of prophet was a temporary gift given by the Christ for the laying of the foundation of the universal church. Prophets also were foundational to the universal church . The prophet proclaimed a message from the Lord for the believers of the first century. These believers did not have the advantage we have of having a complete Bible. The last book of the New Testament (Revelation) was not completed until late in the first century. So the Lord provided gifted men called prophets who proclaimed messages from God to the people until the canon of Scripture was complete.

  1. I believe, this is correct.
    The disciple simply means “follower”
Apostle “sent with message” or a messenger
while Prophet is the “proclaimer” of God’s word.

  2. I am trying to know the difference between a prophet, apostal, and a diciple. I here that a prophet which I believe Moses was that prophets have the power through God to make things happen. just as Moses did when he lifted the rod and with the power parted the red sea. Is this true for prophets today that with the power of God that they can make a withered hand sraight. Then I do not understand the role of a apostal is it the preacher our leader that we are under is it only that he is a pastor of the church. what are diciple one who go and teach the word? How do we know that we are called by God to perform any of these duties?

    • Fatima, I am not a scholar or anything like that but I do have a relationship with the Lord. In Matthew 28 verses 16-20 it says “Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
I believe we do not have to worry so much about what we are called to “be” as long as we are following what the Lord calls us to “do”. When we follow what He calls us to do, what we “are” becomes obvious. Titles to what you are mean nothing if you aren’t doing it with love and a humble heart.
Every Christian whether they feel called or not should be sharing the Gospel at least in their neighborhood if not around the World.

Acts 1:8 says ” But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
I do not believe you have to specifically be a “Prophet” or “Healer” or “Pastor/Teacher” for God to perform healings, signs and wonders through you. The same Spirit lives in us all. If you feel the Lord leading you to pray/ask for something crazy like a healing or rain in a drought or sun during a storm or whatever it may be… do it. He does things all throughout the Bible to be glorified and in Him being glorified others come to a saving relationship with Him which something that is so close to his heart. So if it will bring another soul to Him, the Lord wlll do anything through anyone who is willing to be used and not take the glory.

So I say again… don’t worry so much as to what you are supposed to “be” just follow what the Lord tells you to “do”. Continue to be in the Word and in prayer doing what you are called to do and your calling will be made clearer. 🙂 At least this has been my experience.

      • John 8:31-32 Then Jesus said to those Judeans who had believed him, “If you continue to follow my teaching, you are really my disciples and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Before our Lord YESHUA started His ministry, He got the acknowledgement of being The Beloved Son of The Most High. Listen to The Word, the Word calls you out first, tells you who you are and then the ministry starts. You gotta know your calling first and then reply to your call by the ministry that He has called you to do. Whether it’s the old testament or the new, Our Maker calls out first and then tells us what to do. He does not tells us what to do unless He first tells us who we are. You need to receive your identity before you start your duty.

      • Wanpynshngain Hun

Live From your identity, this is Faith(total dependence on GOD, that is HIS WORD our LORD YESHUA). Hear THE WORD telling You who You Are. Never ever live For identity, which is self-righteousness which in fact is Sin (total dependence on Self)

      • You have said it all. God bless you. Where are you writing from? Fatima

  3. Observed your blog post via bing the other day and absolutely enjoy it. Keep up this fantastic work.

  4. I agree for the most part regarding your statement. However you are wrong regarding the “gift of prophet” being temporary.

  5. I agree with what you say about prophets and apostles. Today, these titles are thrown around very carelessly. Everyone is rushing to some arena to have the “prophet” lay his or her hands on them. The thing that gets me is that if you are one, you don’t have to proclaim it because your works through the Holy Spirit and your “fruits of the spirit” will be evident. Christians, stop worrying about if someone really is a prophet or an apostle. You’re not suppose to be following them anyway, Right!? Know the word of God for yourself. Test the spirits. If you are in His will, He will let you know if someone is true or not. The only title we need to be concerned with, is the title of Disciple. Are you one? I hope so. Love you all. God Bless.

    • You are right Katrina. I think there are so many false prophets out there or people claiming to be one when I believe a true prophet humbles himself and doesnt go around claiming who they are. It will be evident to those who see the work of the holy spirit in them to know they are highly called by God in being a prophet.

    • david thompson chinyamunyamu

nonobody can put it better than this. God bless!

  6. prophet temporary?? i think not “”very much””

on prophits –while paul was an apostle….profits still came and warned the apostles about future dangers like how paul would be captured by the jews and handed over to the gentiles (acts 21vs10)….and prophets even came and warned the apostles about the coming famine toward the entire roman world…(acts 11vs27)…..a prophet is also called a seer….prophets had future revelations pertaining to worldly events…seemingly the apostles mostly had revelations about things pertaining to the church…..

1st corin 12vs28….””in the church God appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues

ephes4vs11 “” it was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,””

  7. I agree with Soenel…prophets and prophetic gifts are not temporary, but like apostles, there’s a difference between the office of a prophet and the gift of prophecy. There’s much confusion over the gift of prophecy and it can be an extremely dangerous thing. I recently heard a pastor teaching his congregation that prophetic words are when “God speaks and tells you what will happen so that you know what to do.” I was shocked! And I realized why so many churches are in such a corrupted state if this is the sort of nonsense they believe and act upon! Thinking that God speaks and tells you what will happen so that you know what to do gives way to doing many, many things in human wisdom that seems right, but that God did not instruct. And then, when things start to fall apart, because God was not in the path that was taken, the faith of the people crumbles and much damage ensues. The truth is, prophetic words are when God speaks so that you know what HE is going to do. Then, knowing what HE is going to do, you can pray and align yourself to His will, rather than carrying out your own.

  8. HI! I went to church and a prophe told the church to stand and announced that there are people inthe church who have the gift of being prophets and he prayed and blew wind from his mouth to the congregation, and all of those who he was talking about fell to the ground and I was one of the people who fell to the ground. How do i know that I am indeed gifted as a prophet?

    • well u should have DIRECT words, revelations and directions from GOD …tru dreams, visions,or revelations then u realize they are actually coming to pass…..””the testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy”” rev19vs10…..the power of the lord accompanies the prophet as proof that they are actually a divine vessel of GOD. in 2ndcorin 12vs12..paul says “things that mark an apostle= signs, miracles and wonders…..the apostle and prophet differ in the role they play.but they operate in similar power …but John The Baptist was a prophet although he did no miracles….but his words were anointed (no doubt).and God revealed secret things to him..directly…there will always be some divine manifestation of the spirits power…sometimes miracles, prophecies, revelations or yoke breaking anointed words..these gifts could even manifest if someone was baptized by the holy spirit also..1corin 12….so someone can be spiritually gifted but still not be a prophet 1corin 14vs37..paul says the spirit of the prophet is subject to the control of the prophet 1corin14vs32 …..the prophet seems to have a curtain control over the power..while with the spiritually gifted..the holy spirit uses the power when it seems fitting to (just a personal theory there..from my personal observance)…also the prophets and apostles seem to get the revelations and directions to feed the flock…..but most important a prophet is very careful with his lips…because when the TRUE prophet speaks the power of God goes forth an accomplish what he has spoken…God doesn’t let his Holy prophets come across as liars …if what the prophet is about to say is not in accordance with the will of God the spirit would prompt him before he speaks

    • hi im raymond a diciple of jesus christ look 4 u 2 see dat ur a prophet or that the spirit of all prophecies is in you,u need 2 pray 4 the opportunity 2 prophecy start by prophecyng on my life, rembr out of thy bellis i wil let the rivers of life flow.go 2 joel he prophecyd abt this generation

    • You are not a prophet. If you have to ask if you are one, then you are not one. A little freaked out about the weird winblower in church. What is that all about? Strange. Does your church speak in tongues too? Maybe handle a snake or two?

    • You are not a prophet. If you have to ask if you are one, then you are not one. A little freaked out about the weird winblower in church. What is that all about? Strange. Does your church speak in tongues too? Maybe handle a snake or two?

Tumi dont be fretted by the words above. If you believe you are called to be a prophet than chase after it with all your heart.Be like the persistant widow, persevere.Moses cried out praying I wish that all of Gods people would proheshy.
Sometimes the NOT knowing is part of the journey. Let Gods spirit do his work within. The conditioning maybe long and hard but the end result will be worth it.
You were in that meeting for a reason. That word came to you just believe. My advice to you is to press into the word of God and start prophesing.
I who dont even know you pray that God will raise you up, a person of Faith, unshakable who will speak the Word of God with authourity.(A Prophet)
Never give up, run in such a way that you may obtain the prize, the high calling in Jesus Christ that he obviously has impressed upon your life.Dont let anyone tell you any different.
My friend God will begin to clean you up from the inside. He will call you into righteousness and holiness.Everything will come against you BUT stay your course for NOW is the time of Gods favour NOW is the time of salvation.,
He who has called you is holy, be holy in all your conduct. For it is written FOR I AM HOLY therefore BE HOLY ALSO.
God be with you my friend now go forth and SPEAK THE WORD OF GOD.

  9. I agree with u. The offices of prophet,APOSTLE AND TEACHER IS NO MORE. However, d church is blessed with gifts that will build on d foundations layd. D gifts of Apostle,Prophet,Evangelist,Pastor and Teacher. These are to serve in d church under a Bishop. The only governing office in d church today is d office of d Bishop. Who may have any or all of d builders gift.

  10. Wow! This is mind blowing! You speak with such detail about the supernatural gifts of The Holy Spirit, it’s very impressive. But then you speak as if the supernaural gifts of the Holy Spirt are for the 1st century Christians and a demise to present day. Why what is wrong and where are you getting this folly. UEverything written in Gods word strong emphasis New Testemant. It apply’s to our life to this day. If we carry that faith! And here in the latter days we are going to need all nine Supernatural gifts of The Holy Spirit and disciples, Prophets, Apostles, teachers more than ever! Do you not know that God wants us to desire these gifts(1Corinth13). It is his will for us to be baptized into The Holy Spirit of fire! For demonic activity is unleashed in this world now more than ever and it is going to get 10fold worse. The new age movement is producing satanic powers like crazy with healings, euphoric emotions, miraculous signs, false prophecy astral projection. You think the Lord according to his word is going to let us move as lame ducks? No! He’s given us his Holy Spirit which is omnipotent in power. And it is going to operate through persons as you and I who truly love the Lord and want to extend his kingdom. For us Gentile Christians and Messianic Jews. We are the two olive trees and two lampstands in Revelations pertaining to the 2 wittnesses. Please don’t put a lid on the Holy Spirit because we can’t except in our own minds for he is God Almighty himself.
Feel free to contact me. I hope and pray that you are blessed and God continues to instruct you in all his holy ways.
    God Bless You

    • RGoff you are SO right! Children of God, study your Bible and ask the Holy Spirit of God to reveal the TRUTH to your spirits.

      • You present a very easy to follow reflection of our need for reading the Bible and to understand it well. Given, many of those seeking faith, church, religious community, may be easily deceived by leaders of those groups and their interpretation(s) from the Bible and other Biblical writings. Therefore, be astute to know the good sheep from the wolves, who seek the destruction of the innocent souls. Pray and help one another. I think there were Prophets in the Old Testament, who testified to the future and “one” who would “lead.” In the New Testament, Jesus was the fulfillment of the Old Testament, with the end of living prophets. Jesus was NOT a Prophet, not was he an Apostle. Those who followed Jesus were apostles, sent forth by Jesus to lead, teach and heal in His name………….end of comment, as this time. mgb.

  11. When is the last time that any of you saw someone, with your own two eyes, heal another human being with mere words, or a touch?

You haven’t, because that’s not how God works anymore. Yes, God has supreme power and could heal every person on this planet right now if he so desired, but that’s the thing – it’s his decision and no one else has the authority to use God’s power on His behalf.

So called “faith healers” are a complete and utter scam at best, and blasphemous at worst. And yet, many people still flock to attend these ridiculous events.

“Speaking in tongues”, a hot topic among “christians” these days, is also something that is almost equally ridiculous.

I don’t mean to offend, but let’s be honest, when you’re sitting/standing in your church and feel compelled to start spewing forth unintelligible gibberish, do you really think that you are accomplishing something?

Well, you probably do, otherwise you wouldn’t be doing it. You have fooled yourself into believing that you are getting closer to God, or perhaps even speaking to him in a “special language” that only you and God understand.

Sorry, but that is not scriptural. In fact, God tells us exactly how we should pray in Matthew 6:5-13. I will go ahead and post it here for your benefit:

5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.

6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.

8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

9 “This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,

10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven

11 Give us today our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”

Clearly, we can see in these verses alone that our conversations with God are not meant to be in public. Plus, As verse 8 says, God already knows what we need before we ask him, so there is no reason to be overly verbose about it.

Also, I would encourage all of you to read 1 Corinthians 14. It’s a great passage that sheds a lot of light on this subject in particular. But let me bring to your attention verse 19:

19 But in the church I would rather speak five intelligible words to instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue.

This is Paul speaking here, and I think that the message is quite clear! Here are verses 6-11:

6 Now, brothers and sisters, if I come to you and speak in tongues, what good will I be to you, unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or word of instruction?

7 Even in the case of lifeless things that make sounds, such as the pipe or harp, how will anyone know what tune is being played unless there is a distinction in the notes?

8 Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle?

9 So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air.

10 Undoubtedly there are all sorts of languages in the world, yet none of them is without meaning.

11 If then I do not grasp the meaning of what someone is saying, I am a foreigner to the speaker, and the speaker is a foreigner to me.

I really don’t understand how anyone can argue with that. It seems like it takes much more work to make an argument FOR the modern speaking in tongues movement, than it does to make an argument against it. To me, it’s clear as day.

Paul says that one shouldn’t speak in tongues without a translator, or else there is no purpose. But, seeing as how probably 99% of you live in America, it’s very likely that within your church, everyone speaks the same language.

Speaking in tongues certainly did exist, but it existed in a time when it was actually useful. It was a functional tool used for the furthering of God’s word, and as a sign to unbelievers who were not of the same language.

Now, it’s completely unnecessary. Especially in America, of all places. We have different churches for different languages, but the majority of the population speaks or at least understands English. You kind of have to in order to live in this country. This point, along with the others mentioned above, should be more than enough to convince an open-minded person that the modern interpretation of speaking in tongues is simply not biblical.

But that’s just the problem, many people are not open-minded. Ironically, they would say that they are by believing or doing certain things, such as speaking in tongues, because it is still seen as a somewhat radical movement. But they are not open-minded to other interpretations of the bible, other than what they personally find convenient or desirable.

Today, many churches have perverted it into something that it never was meant to be. I wholeheartedly believe that the modern movement of speaking in tongues is nothing more than a “spiritual shortcut” — it’s a quick and easy way to feel closer to God. In reality, the only way to actually get closer to God is to spend time in the word and research issues like these, so that you are not parroting the views of someone else, or regurgitating ideas that you have heard from another source, be that your parents or your pastor.

I believe that many so called “christians” of today are quick to believe things that make them feel good, that empower them, and make them feel like they have control over the quality of their life. In that context, christianity is equated with self-help books or inspirational speakers. That’s all it seems to be to some people. Many so-called “christians” do not seem at all concerned with seeing for themselves what is actually written in the book that they say they believe in.

    • well these people are still around today..but they are very rare..because before one gets annointed with power from on high..they must be made pure thats the first step and thats the hardest one..anyone that god sends out on his behalf should have dominion over the sinful nature..and many so called christians are still struggling with sin…….people today like to use tongues because its one the easiest gifts of the spirit to mimic…the holy spirit has many other gifts that are a greater manifestation of gods divine power..such as prophecy healing and miracles….jesus said who believes in me shall do what i do and even greater things than these…..christians can and should be still performing in the miraculous in the name of the lord jesus today

    • if you dont mean to offend than shut your mouth
luke you just spoke 10,000 words of complete crap you idiot.
I have NO problems with offending
Dont bother replying to me your mouth is full of venom.
      Oh well God bless anyhow

      • Hey Max,

Perhaps I was a little forthcoming, but what I said is certainly not “complete crap”.

And, my mouth is not “full of venom”. Quite the opposite. I am seeking the most legitimate and correct interpretation of the Bible, and I simply believe that those who practice faith healing and those who “speak in tongues” are going out of their way to create something that just isn’t there.

I have shown why I believe what I believe with examples from scripture, so consider that the next time you think about telling me how much crap and venom are coming out of my mouth.

Sadly, you cannot choose whether or not I reply, but you may certainly choose to ignore me. I am perplexed as to how someone who supposedly believes the Bible could say such things to me.

  12. First of all the new testm. Of the books of Acts admonishes the believer to receive the Holy spirit. The Holy Spirit is the comforter whom Jesus said would come to lead us into all truth.
Lets start with Ephesians1:13b when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own* by giving you the Holy Spirit,….
Now how do you surmise the evidence of this gift is manifested? Let’s see, your chapter 1cor.14:22 Therefore tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe, but to unbelievers; but prophesying is not for unbelievers but for those that believe.

  13. You are not a prophet. If you have to ask if you are one, then you are not one. A little freaked out about the weird winblower in church. What is that all about? Strange. Does your church speak in tongues too? Maybe handle a snake or two?

  14. Luke, look up Heide Baker. Her ministry in Africa has raised hundreds from the dead and healed thousands. Gods gifts are still 100% available to us today. You can make the bible say anything you want, so throwing a couple Bible verses out there to back up your argument doesn’t impress me. What are you scared of Luke? Are you scared God has bigger plans for your life than you can wrap your head around? Heaven on Earth! There is no pain, disease, death or sickness in Heaven!

    Andrew

  15. Two Questions: could you tell me where the bible quotes the term, “gift of apostle?” Also, Barnabas was an apostle according to the below scripture.
Can a person be a Prophet and an Apostle or a Teacher and an Apostle? Please observe the below scriptures and enlighten me… Thanks and God bless.

Now in the church that was at Antioch there were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away. So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus. (Acts 13:1-4, NKJV)

But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.(Acts 14:4, KJV)
Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out. (Acts 14:14, KJV)

  16. Very nice discussion here and I have enjoyed reading the comments. Look, only God knows whether prophets, and apostles exist today, not us, hence, the discussion. Everything God needs to further His purposes is here at His fingertips. He is real, alive and well, and loves everybody. There are gifts that go to people such as insight and revelation from God. It is determined by Him and only Him. You cannot work your way into a role for God. He has preordained all of our gifts before we were born. The best thing for us all to do is to mirror Jesus Christ our wonderful Savior. If you love Him with all your mind, heart, body, and soul you will feel His beautiful presence around you. Be like Him, aspire to be just like Him, and He can and will fill you with the Holy Spirit.

  17. Ok agree that prophet is 2 proclaim God’s word n a disciple is a follower and apostle is like a messanger or ambassor to go n deliver the message of God and sent to evangelise. Then what is the different between office of an evangelist and office of apostle

  18. To Adekanmbi Taiwo who wanted to know the difference between the office of an evangelist and an apostle. I refer you to this link
http://www.releasetheape.com/apostle-evangelist/ . It truly explains the difference. There are some people who can really explain (teach) and break things down and the guy who explains the difference when you click on the link above really makes it clear. Hope this brings clarity.

  19. wow max,
you use words like ” crap” and call someone an idiot? Then try and give a ” word” from God? ” If anyone among you claims to be religious and does not bridle his own tongue but DECEIVES HIS OWN HEART, this mans religion is WORTHLESS.” James 1:26

  20. the is to an end so as children of God lets recieve christ as our personal saviour and obey his commands and laws!.

  21. Thank you for the imformative description it really cleared the mist I have been having.may the Lord continue to give you wisdom.God bless

  22. Shalom, I would like to know where this knowledge was acquired so I can have a look at it. Thanking you in anticipation.
    Blessings.

  23. i dd enjoy ur website you dd a graet task pls keep that way

  24. I come in the grace of God. Thank you for your blog, however I don’t believe this is biblically correct. Yes we are all disciples but the lord chooses some with a specific mandate and assignment within church leadership. The initial 12 began the work of establishing the universal church charged by Christ and Ephesians 4 says that as he calls us we are to lead the body of Christ with spiritual gifts. Christ as the head, did not just assign pastors in churches because the body would be missing some pieces. He assigned all gifts including ministerial five-fold giftings to SERVE the body and local church for the building of the faith and equipping of saints. Pastors flow in a certain grace and evangelists flow in a different grace, but we should be all one body functioning healthy with NO pieces missing. To say that we no longer have apostles and prophets today is to mishandle the word of God. The initial 12 apostles had a responsibility that was unique for that time period to establish the church. Today these giftings are used to continue to set the order in the church and establish Gods kingdom here on earth.

  25. Your description of the terms are mostly correct. You say they are not needed to day but they are needed more that ever. In the Bible you will find in many many places Old and New Testaments that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. So if was to have a TRUE Church on the Earth it would have Prophets, and Apostles the same as the 1st Century Church had. The calling of a Prophet or an Apostle is an Office in the Holy Priesthood of God and is given by the laying on of hands by those who have the authority, as also outlined in the Bible. The Bible also warns that one can not take the authority on to oneself, nor can it be bought with money. The Priesthood Authority is the Authority to act in God Name and was given to Adam and passed down through righteous men until all the Apostles were killed. But God our Father has not let us alone he has restored this Authority to the Earth. He has restored his Church with Jesus Christ as the Head and the 12 Apostles to lead us in this day and age.

  26. I agree with all except the gift of the prophetic, that gift is still operating – Acts 21:9 1 Thessalonians 5:20 1 Corinthians ch 14. Romans 12:6

  27. I need more revelation about Apostles and Prophets according to the word of God
